A coffee cup whose rising steam and rim turn into a city skyline at sunrise
The lesson: pricing on value

Sunrise Brew

Working title, proposed

A single cup becomes a waking city. This image was generated with AI in Canva and curated by BK Han. It shows how a morning coffee turns into a day of building.

It is the first beat of BK’s motto made visible: start with the cup, then let automation raise the skyline.

Yes, the price is bold on purpose. It’s a real lesson in pricing on value, and a real offer.

US$2,000,000 Asking price

About this price

US$2,000,000 is the asking price BK Han has set for this one-of-one artwork. It is not based on an independent valuation, past sales, or any expected resale value, and you should not buy it as an investment. Part of the reason for the price is to start a conversation about how we value AI-made art. That is part of the project. The offer to sell is real, though. If a buyer passes our checks and both sides sign a sale agreement, the sale goes ahead on the terms below.

Please note: this image was made with generative AI. In Singapore and many other countries, AI-generated images may get limited or no copyright protection, so others may be able to copy it.

Terms of sale

  1. How to buy. No payment is taken until the buyer has passed the checks in section 3 and both parties have signed a written sale agreement. To start, register your interest; there is no charge. The sale may be managed by an art gallery appointed by BK Han. Any appointed gallery, and its fee or commission, will be named on this page before any offer is accepted. Any gallery fee is paid by BK Han out of the price and is never added to what you pay. BK Han remains the seller and decides whether to accept any offer.
  2. Offers. BK Han may accept or reject any offer at his discretion and does not have to give a reason. An offer is accepted only on signature of the sale agreement, so rejecting an offer costs the buyer nothing.
  3. Anti-money laundering and sanctions checks. Before we can accept an offer, we verify the buyer’s identity, the beneficial owners of any company or trust buyer, and the source of funds and wealth, and we screen against sanctions lists, including those published by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. We may ask for more documents at any time before completion. Payment method: bank transfer only; card payments and cryptocurrency are not accepted. Funds must be in US dollars from an account held in the buyer’s own name at a regulated bank. We do not accept cash, or payments from or on behalf of anyone else.
  4. Payment. Whether the price is paid in full or by deposit and balance is to be agreed in the written sale agreement, and the buyer pays by the dates it sets. The price of US$2,000,000 includes any GST that may be due, so the total you pay for the artwork will not exceed US$2,000,000. BK Han is selling this artwork privately as an individual and is not GST-registered. If an appointed gallery manages the sale, this page will also state whether it is GST-registered and how GST will be accounted for. That disclosure, and written confirmation of the final GST position in the sale agreement, will both come before an offer is accepted.
  5. Refunds. If completion fails for a reason set out in the sale agreement that is not the buyer’s fault, including where BK Han decides not to proceed, we refund every amount paid in full, with no deductions. Refunds are paid only to the account the money came from and in the same currency. Any charges the buyer’s own bank applies are the buyer’s responsibility. We may delay or withhold a refund where the law requires or allows it, including where a report has been made to, or instructions have been received from, the authorities.
  6. What you receive. Once full payment has cleared and checks are complete, the buyer receives the full-resolution original file through a secure, encrypted download link; a certificate of authenticity signed by BK Han that cites the creation records (the Canva asset ID, creation timestamp and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the original file); and a signed written assignment of rights. Ownership of the original file passes to the buyer. BK Han assigns to the buyer whatever copyright and other rights he holds in the artwork; as noted above, he does not promise that any copyright exists.
  7. What BK Han keeps and what stays public. Portfolio rights: BK Han keeps a non-exclusive, permanent right to show low-resolution versions of the work in his portfolio and where it already appears, and to mention the sale, unless the sale agreement says otherwise. Public copies: low-resolution versions have already been shared on this page and in a social media video. They will stay online, but copies others have saved or reshared cannot be recalled. His copies: after transfer, BK Han will delete his full-resolution copies and confirm this in writing. Similar images: AI tools may produce similar images for other users. BK Han will not sell, license or create another edition of this image.
  8. Reporting. We comply with Singapore anti-money laundering law and may report suspicious transactions to the Suspicious Transaction Reporting Office without telling the buyer.
  9. Governing law. These terms and the sale agreement are governed by the laws of Singapore.
