Agentomic (noun and adjective): the economy and way of working that forms when AI agents do real work for people and businesses: one person plus an agent team, buying and selling outcomes instead of tools.
Coined by Coach BK Han, 13 Oct 2026.
In plain words
For twenty years we bought software and did the work ourselves. Now an AI agent can take a goal, plan the steps, use tools and hand back a finished result. When enough people and businesses work this way, the economy around them changes. That is what I call Agentomic.
Three ideas sit inside it:
- One person + an agent team. A solopreneur can run marketing, sales, admin and delivery with a team of bots. I run my own business, AI Hustle Generation (founded 12 Dec 2023), on 47 of them.
- Agent as a Service (AaaS). You pay for agents that deliver the work, not for software you operate. (What is AaaS?)
- Outcomes over tools. The value moves from "which app do you use" to "what result did you deliver, and how well did you direct your agents."
"Agentomic" can describe the economy ("the Agentomic era") or a way of working ("an Agentomic business").
Three Southeast Asian examples
- The property agent in Singapore. One agent drafts listing copy, another qualifies enquiries, a third books viewings. The human spends time on what only a human can do: building trust and closing.
- The hawker or home-based F&B seller in KL or Jakarta. Agents handle pre-orders, reply to reviews and prepare a weekly ingredient list from sales. The owner cooks; the agents run the back office.
- The coach or tutor in Manila or Ho Chi Minh City. Agents turn each live session into notes, quizzes and follow-up emails, so one coach can serve more students without burning out.
Agentomic vs the old SaaS economy
| Old SaaS economy | Agentomic economy | |
|---|---|---|
| What you buy | A login to a tool | A result delivered by agents |
| Who does the work | You or your staff | Agents, directed by you |
| How you pay | Per seat / per month | Per outcome, task or retainer |
| Smallest viable team | Several people | One person + an agent team |
| Key skill | Operating software | Directing agents, judgement, taste |
| Moat | Features | Your know-how, relationships and trust |
Credit where it's due
I didn't invent the idea that AI agents are economic actors. Researchers at TUM (Technical University of Munich) work on a related framework called AGENTONOMICS (dr-agentonomics.air.cit.tum.de), and others write about "the agentic economy". Agentomic is my term and my framing: a practical lens for solopreneurs and small businesses in Southeast Asia.
FAQ
- What does Agentomic mean?
- The economy and way of working that forms when AI agents do real work for people and businesses: one person plus an agent team, selling outcomes instead of tools.
- What is agentic AI?
- AI that moves from answering to acting: an agent takes a goal, plans the steps, uses tools and hands back a finished result.
- Who coined Agentomic and wrote the book?
- Coach BK Han, founder of AI Hustle Generation in Singapore. He coined the term on 13 October 2026 and wrote the guide of the same name.

- No. AGENTONOMICS is an academic management framework from TUM. Agentomic is BK Han's practical term for solopreneurs and small businesses.

- It is a living book. Buyers pay once and receive every new edition free by Gumroad email, at least monthly. The current one is Edition 2026.10.
- Do I need to code to work in an Agentomic way?
- No. Start with one repetitive task, hand it to an agent, check the output, then add the next.
